Legend General Equipment Specifications Frame Materials.... Strength Machines are constructed of 4”x 2” 11 gauge rectangular steel tubing to frame the weight stacks and connect the weight stack portion of the machine to the exercise portion of the machine. Steel tubing mainframe for the exercise portion of machine is constructed of 3”x 2” 11 gauge rectangular steel tubing. Free Weight Equipment tubing is primarily 3”x 3” 11 gauge square steel tubing. A combination of other heavy structural tubular steel sizes are also employed. Steel components have an ASTM rating of A500 grade (minimum mechanical properties of 58,000 PSI tensile strength and 46,000 PSI yield strength). All steel components are machined to a minimum of ± .30”. Construction.... Features All-Welded Construction by inert-gas MIG welding to conform with and in accordance with the following codes and/or standards:
Frame Finish.... Each piece of equipment is prepared both chemically and mechanically for powder coated paint process. Painting process includes high temperature, high pressure iron phosphate wash to insure optimum adhesion of the electrostatically applied Dupont paint. Dupont TGIC Polyester Powder Paint is used. This is an engineered powder that is scuff resistant and long wearing. Painted finish is baked at 400 degrees Fahrenheit and carefully monitored to insure complete curing. Technical Summaries are determined using 3.0-5.0 mil powder film over iron- phosphate pretreated steel using and conforming with the following test methods:
Padding & Upholstery.... The Padding material is 2” thick Rebond Foam meeting ASTM 1692 and MVSS302 Upholstery standards for flammability. Foam Density is 8 lbs. per cubic foot. Upholstery is 32 oz. Sulfide-stain resistant “Naugahyde” formulated to meet small scale flammability test requirements contained in Federal Standard 191A (CCC-A-680 a). All pads are top double-stitched. Foam is glued to a ¾” thick support board, then trimmed to fit exactly. Corners are radiused and edges are chamfered on both top and bottom to promote comfort and durability. Bearings.... Input and movement arms rotate with either non-friction roller bearings with a Basic Radial Load Rating of 2,420 lbs. contained in a custom cast and machined housing, or a self-lubricating bronze bushing in a machined steel housing to provide smooth movement and precise alignment. Weight Transport.... ¼” diameter Aircraft Cable with a 7 x 19 construction and black nylon coating. The cable is rated at a breaking strength of 4,200 lbs. Pulleys.... Pulleys are 4 ½” diameter Fiberglas-Impregnated Nylon with a precision fit cable groove and 6203 double sealed non-friction roller bearings. Weight Plates.... Solid Steel composition weight stack plates are designated in both lbs. and kgs. Spring Suspension.... Heavy Duty Die Cast Springs are used under the weight stack to reduce shock and vibration stresses. Guide Rods.... Solid Steel and hard chrome plated guide rods are used to insure quiet operation and low friction movement. Weight Stack Pins.... Self contained coiled lanyard pins with built in magnetic locking system keeps the selector pin positively locked in the weight stack to prevent pin removal or loss. Fasteners.... All bolts meet ANSI B18.3 specifications. Handgrips.... 45 durometer rubber handgrips are used for comfort, safety and durability. Warranty....
